I've meant to start blogging again for ages.
I was a Facebook refusenik, found myself outsourced, joined the Facebook bandwagon, and forget to update my Livejournal ever again. And LJ seems like a really bad idea these days...
So here I am. Monologuing into a submission box after all those years.
I had a bit of a mental health excursion last year, due to some family difficulties. I'll explain some time if I get back in the rhythm.
Anyway, what did I do today? I woke up early, notice it raining, napped, went on a very short run. Over a year ago I managed to stumble through CouchTo5K, then ran into the Mental Health Excursion. I've put on a lot of weight since then and thought I'd better at least try to get some regular exercise back into my life.
So, I've done three week one runs from C25K - spaced a week apart - and thought I might as well try a week two run. Six intervals of 90 sec run / 120 sec walk from week 2, versus eight intervals of 60 run / 90 walk from week 1. I'm exhausted, my knees are creaking, but there's a bit of exercise-fuzziness going on.
I must work up to doing a couple of runs this week, since one run per week definitely isn't the C25K way. My motivation/lethargy is my main problem, and the travel time from Manchester doesn't help. Even with the summer time clock change, it is difficult to get home before it's completely dark.
I'll try.
For the rest of this afternoon, I'll noodle with some Python, and watch the internet. Back to work tomorrow.
